Well we woke up a three in the morning, got our coolers, and drove to haleiwa. After we got on the boat we drove through crystal water to get some bait. well when bait fishing there were about 25 gallapogos sharks trying to eat our bait. So once they hit the hook we yanked them outta the water. we yanked so hard sometimes that the hook came out, and the fish still landed in the boat.
After about 30 min. we hooked into a 28lb Ono (wahoo) michael pulled the guy in and we were able to bag one early. we went around kaena point and saw hundreds of dolphins playing with the boat.
We had a boat 200yrds away from us hook into a 5oolb marlin, and the captain didnt know what he was doing. He lost the same fish 3 times!
After playing around in the glassy water, and nicew cool breeze, we turned back to haleiwa, and once we did that we hooked into a little 8lb aku (mackeral).
Then minutes before we hit the harbor, and started to bring in the lines we had an 18lb mahimahi (dorado) hit us hard. So that goes to show that it aint over until it is over!
Not one of us got sea sick (until we got to land) we all had fun and we caught 3 fish. better than nothing, better than one, and also better than two. fun was had, and if anyone wants in again.....I am game.
