Since New Year’s Eve was Sunday evening there was much debat to what time we would set the fireworks off. Well because most of our family goes to bed about 7:30 pm, we felt that if we did minimal fireworks for the little ones that it was an ok Sunday activity. So we did a few fireworks like the one in the picture and then a lot of sparklers. The girls loved it, they were a little scared at first (and so were we) but later couldn’t get enough. WE had a little scare when Rykel wanted to look at the sparkler up close, even though Jase was holding her hand, she managed to get it close to her face. Jase made sure that it didn’t get too close, but she did get a little burn

on her finger. She was a little traumatized by the experience, which kept her distant from fireworks the rest of the night.
We enjoyed that night with a couple friend of ours. We played games and ate plenty of great food: 7 layer dip, cheese ball, chex mix and punch. These are many great dishes that I have learned from the Calabio Household.
