Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory

Feb 18, 2007 | Family Life | 2 comments

As we pulled into the rows and rows of Macadamia Nut trees, the girls were very exstatic to taste the nuts. We walked around and saw how the nuts were shelled, sorted, flavored and covered in chocolate. We saw upclose how the cookies are dipped in chocolate and then packaged. The girls gave the ladies the shaka and the Hershey lady thought they were so cute, she came out and gave us a bunch of the broken cookies. We loved tasting all the flavors.

I love the sleep sling picture with his hand under his chin. Reminds me of the Bun.

Hope you guys got some good stuff to taste at the factory. Now you can always remember where those delicious nuts came from the next time you eat one. Great pictures.
