Sweater

I used to wear a white sweater,
I got it long ago.
And I love to wear and snuggle it
When I feel all alone.
But I lost my favorite sweater
when life was more fast paced.
And now I wear a black one
because old whitey must be replaced.

Late at night when the kids are down,
And scrapbooking doesn't take away my frown.
I put my sweater on and make myself a drink
And then it all begins...when my mind starts to think.

I'm grateful for this day, today.
For I played with, fed, and taught my kids.
I cleaned, crafted and organized,
And I relax now while I sit.
But the sweater reminds me more than that
of the things I'm grateful for.
I think of my family near and far,
Jase, our kids, and more.

And so my day has ended,
And this sweater...you could say
has turned this frown upside down
And chased my tears away!!

    1. I like all yoru new toys for your kids. Here is all I have to say about your beautiful sweater poem, which is actually nice, but my first thought was:

Ross + 5 dollars = new, just like old one, white sweater...

Than you can write about Ross, which I love dearly!

    2. Do NOT listen to piglet! Obviously you can't get a new sweater like the old one because it was knitted by a friend of your mom's when we lived in England many years ago, and with such a nice yarn that it never looked old.

    3. I love your sweet poem. But a question I have - what TYPE of drink were you making with that sweater on? Hmmm?
