Tricks for Tuesday

Mar 18, 2008 | Family Life | 3 comments

*Ok so my very creative and crazy family has fun things for different days of the week. I admire and always look forward to those topics and quirks for the day. And my FAvorite day of the Week is Tuesday so I thought that Tuesday would be a great quirky day for me.

TRICKS FOR TUESDAY

My sister sent me a great book as a gift and it has become a great teaching manual for me and my “mommy preschool.” The book is called: 501 TV-Free Activities for KIDS. I love it. Some ideas are many that you may have already thought of….but you maybe forgot, but now there are so much more to expand your mind.

Activity 121: Surprise Bags

Make or buy a fabric bag to hold surprises. Collect things as you see them and have a bag ready to take with you when you need it in a hurry. (Now I’m sure most moms already do this, but some of the items they suggested is what inspired my Tuesday Trick)

-new book to read
-notebook to scribble on
-pack of pipe cleaners
-large wooden beads & plastic thread for threading (my favorite idea)
-jigsaw puzzle stored in plastic bag
-finger puppet
-magnifying glass (fabulous idea)
-unbreakable mirror (hours of fun)

Well this trick works for all ages, just varying the toys and things in the bag. What is your great Trick for Tuesday?!!
