The Ohana Adventure Podcast

As entrepreneurial parents of 6 kids, we have had quite the adventures. We have had 100,000+ comments asking us how we have done what we've done. We are now turning on these mics and sharing the wins and losses we've experienced in hopes to help others celebrate or overcome theirs!

    1. i remember seeing kids on their leashes when i was younger. is it considered abuse to do it these days?

and i am admiring jacob and his extra 30 pounds...sigh...

    2. if that's child abuse, then we must be abusive 🙂

we bought a backpack with a 'leash' for this trip - but only used it once at the airport. it helped ENORMOUSLY because jorgen just wanted to run around after being on a plane for 20 hours but we had to get all of our bags, go through customs and figure out where in the world we were....so i think they are immensely helpful in certain situations. it wasn't hard on jorgen either - and not like we were tugging him around and making him feel like our pet. it just helped him have a little freedom and we didn't have to worry he was running off somewhere. those are my long winded thoughts 🙂

    3. remember the wrist leashes we had when we first moved to California? We had two - one for Kenzie and one for Brenley (though it was frequently removed from one of the girls and placed on Jase so that we could keep track of him - he always wanted to run off and see something ever so much more interesting than what we were doing. We didn't use them much - but they were wonderful at Disneyland.

though i do remember Jase using it as a toy sometimes with one of his little sisters pretending to be a puppy.

    4. yah, i finally bought one... the bear/backpack kind you find at target. little emberD just can't stay in sight. and the kids use it in "pretend you're a dog" play.
my vote... leashes are great. especially when you are one parent trying to keep track of all 4 of your energetic kids running errands multiple days of the week.
