Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent

Sep 23, 2009 | Family Life, Organization | 4 comments

Whether you are a college student or a family of eight making your own laundry detergent saves you money. It’s so simple, so why not try it. And YES I have made my own homemade Laundry Detergent! It works just like the detergent from the store and is way cheaper. You can also make it fragrance-free, so if you have sensitive skin, this might be the best option. There are pros and cons to making laundry detergent but I’m not getting into all that right now. If you are ready to try your hand at liquid laundry detergent follow my instructions below. Make sure to download my free printable for easy reference.

DIY Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent

I got the recipe from the Raising olives blog and I love it!

I did want to mention, that there are also great homemade powder laundry detergents. They are just as easy to make and work great too. Some people prefer the liquid others the powder. I think it’s all just preference. So pick which one you want to try making next!
