Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent

Whether you are a college student or a family of eight making your own laundry detergent saves you money. It’s so simple, so why not try it. And YES I have made my own homemade Laundry Detergent! It works just like the detergent from the store and is way cheaper. You can also make it fragrance-free, so if you have sensitive skin, this might be the best option. DIY Liquid homemade laundry detergent

Ingredients:
1/2 C Borax
1 C Baking Soda
1 Bar of Soap – Lever 2000
3 Gal WARM water in a bucket

Follow these 5 simple steps:

1. Grate soap..so it looks like cheese (do NOT eat)
2. Boil a few cups of water & add grated soap, stir till melted.
3. Add soapy water to the bucket of warm water.
4. Add Borax & Baking Soda to bucket & stir till well dissolved.
5. Let the detergent sit overnight & BOOM you just made HOMEMADE Laundry detergent!

DIY Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent

I did want to mention, that there are also great homemade powder laundry detergents. They are just as easy to make and work great too. Some people prefer the liquid others the powder. I think it’s all just preference. So pick which one you want to try making next!
