Happy New Year 2010
For as long as I can remember, Jase & I have been setting goals..working on something for the future. And New Year seems to be the perfect time for goals & themes. Well after reflecting on what 2009 theme was & what it brought to us…we took much time to decide what we wanted 2010 to be about & represent.
Jase went to Priesthood training & as I was at home, we both thought about the same idea for our 2010 theme. We want a Gospel centered home, we want to focus on how to better ourselves Spiritually. I found THIS article in the 1993 Ensign from Joseph B. Wirthlin: “Spiritually Strong Homes and Families.” Perfect for us. I love how sometimes Jase & I are insync with our thoughts.
“…If you will make your home a house of prayer and fasting, faith, learning and glory, and order, it can become a house of God. If you build your homes on the foundation rock of our Redeemer and the gospel, they can be sanctuaries where your families can be sheltered from the raging storms of life.”
Joseph B. Wirthlin, “Spiritually Strong Homes and Families,” Ensign, May 1993, 68
I hope to have my New Year’s goals soon…..stay tuned!
great theme!!
Ooh! I like that for your theme. We chose Mosiah 4:15, "Ye will teach them to walk in the ways of truth and soberness; ye will teach them to love one another and to serve one another."
Maybe I could do BOTH.
Can you please come back to me so I can be near your perfectness every day? You guys inspire the crap out of me!
Love your new theme! You guys are such a great example to all of us!
