Ask & Ye Shall Receive

Apr 5, 2010 | Family Life | 6 comments

Since I have been little I have been listening to LDS General Conference & for many years, most of it went in one ear & out the other. But since “growing” up…I have realized the guidance & love that comes from conference. So this year I wanted to prepare myself & really focus on the teachings that would be presented this conference weekend. So this year I was hoping to hear guidance for Mothers. And there was an abundance of mother talks, parent guidance & woman inspiration talks. What a great experience we had this weekend. I wish I remembered all the speakers that spoke about mothers.

go to LDS.org to listen to conference.

What was your favorite talk?

This year I felt an urgency to listen to conference. I'm so glad that I did! The talks on being a good mother and the importance of motherhood is something I needed-being my baby is a week out! 😉 I also lost one of my best friends a week ago, so the talk on death and trials, etc… was so touching and exactly what I needed to hear. This years conference was sooooo amazing! I loved it!

I dont know if I suddenly grew up this year, or if there was a surge of awesome talks but it was so so amazing to me that so many talks were vital to my ultimate goals and happiness. I love it so so much as well. We are lucky to get this modern day counsel! I am really looking forward to the Ensign coming out so I can read through it all.

Patience and the other talk on Diligence. I listened to them today at my office instead of tv shows….I will do this more often!!

I really loved conference, too. It makes me feel really blessed to have so much guidance in life and know how to find happiness.

I loved President Uchdorf's talk, too. I love the analogy that he made about the $20 bill–no matter how tattered and messed up, it is still worth $20. how we should treat people…etc.
