Serenity NOW

Each day I set a certain time of the day to have QUIET TIME. Yes I have learned that certain children need naps and others need quiet time.
I have one child that HAS TO HAVE IT...not by her choice, but by my choice. She was that baby that got over-stimulated and would just need a few minutes in her play pen to calm down & she was just fine after that. Well still to this day, this SAME child will get over-stimulated from having to think to much or playing too long or WHATEVER...but if she doesn't get quiet ALONE time, she pokes others, makes crazy silly noises & such, ends up fighting with someone. So each day we have quiet/nap time. AND I LOVE IT!

I love quiet time. I love that I can have time for myself...this is my sanity time. Where I gather my thoughts, I read books, blog, etc. I love it. I love that I can think about things other than kid stuff. ITS MY TIME!

Since I have been doing this for YEARS...and most of the time we get it each day. Over this time I have learned that I AM JUST LIKE THIS CHILD. If I don't get quiet time....I go crazy!
I want to scream at the top of my lungs:
SERENITY NOW!
I have almost done it a few times...sigh, but I must be an adult and just bite my tongue while I shove Milano Cookies down my throat...and call it "My Milano moment!"

The Ohana Adventure Podcast

As entrepreneurial parents of 6 kids, we have had quite the adventures. We have had 100,000+ comments asking us how we have done what we've done. We are now turning on these mics and sharing the wins and losses we've experienced in hopes to help others celebrate or overcome theirs!
