kid bathrooms

Apr 12, 2011 | Family Life | 5 comments

I hate using the kid bathroom.

Don’t think small size kid bathroom, think Kids share this bathroom.
It Stinks.
It gets cleaned more often than I think any other area of the house.
I go through cleanser wipes this bathroom.
I have 2 boys…I think that is why it stinks REALLY bad.
Although my girls leave toothpaste in the sink & it looks disgusting.
My 2 year old does not AIM well.
Boys really make the bathroom STINK.

AAAHHHHH what to do?
What do YOU do?

    Hee-Hee, Hi Rachel :).
Um so I have issues with my boys as well and solved it by having them go SITTING DOWN.
It takes care of a lot of the mess issues, although teaching them how to go standing happens kinda on their own.

  2. Nikki

We have taught the three of our boys that are potty-trained to go sitting down. However, when they think no one is looking or will know, they go standing up. I have proof! Not that it shouldn't be taught. We like to encourage them with, "You get to stand up when we're using the bathroom at the store. At home we sit down so the potty goes IN the toilet."

  3. Nikki

You could get Shae to do the wiping. It might make him more aware of where he aims.

  4. Molly

i made it the kids jobs to clean the bathrooms! Brooklyn cleans the kids bathroom, Eli cleans the guest bathroom and Reedy cleans mine. I'll scrub it, but they have to wipe it all down every day. They no longer make it a mess and then walk out!!

put a bowl of cheerios near the toilet for them to use to practice aiming at in the potty πŸ˜‰ never done that but i seem to remember kinnon doing that or shand talking about doing that (BUT cheerios in the bathroom will only ADD to your dirty bathroom…urine+cheerios=extra stinky) jase might also be contributing πŸ™‚ i shared a bathroom with him for a long time, i know too well! πŸ˜‰ haha.
