So I've heard about this Heber Creeper Santa train ride and I searched everywhere to find cheap tickets. But with a family of 8, its quite hard to find events like this for cheap. I was very lucky to find out that the Heber Creeper was doing a "dress rehearsal" for free. The first so many people to get tickets for this one night got the chance to go for FREE! yes I found a FREE train ride! So freakin awesome!
And the best part was, we got tickets for a few friends too: Carters & Wallaces.
So early that morning I stood in line in the FREEZING cold and got tickets for 16 of us.
I was super excited that Molly, Trevor, Jayden, Asher & Rhye Carter joined us! They drove up for the weekend and we all had a blast!
Right upon entering the trian we met many helpful elves.
With so many of us in a group we were lucky to be able to sit together.
Some of us were not happy about seating situations.
Jacki and Kaylee of course had to sit with miss Cora.
Sadly my pic of the Carter fam is NOT in focus. But we still love them and my camera skills. The Carters have been good friends of ours since Klai was a baby and they had none. They now live in Vernel doing construction, because the Big Island market is low. But we enjoy having them stop by every couple months, wish we could see them more often, but we take what we can get.
On the train there was plenty of singing and dancing all directed by our trains head elf!
There was much singing and dancing all around!
We all got HOT CHOCOLATE!
It was quite hot for some of us! And some of us spilled on our clothes.
Then as we got to Santa town we were honored to be visited by Mrs. Claus herself! What a sweet and wonderful woman.
The Bennetts enjoyed their quick visit with Santa. Evee was amazed that she got a bell!
James Wallace was FULL grin!
Cora was enthralled with Santa and not quite sure if he was good or bad. But after the bell I think she warmed up to him.
Needless to say it was a FABULOUS train ride! Well worth the money...if we paid for it:)
But it was FREE so this made it THE BEST DAY EVER!! If only dad could have come would have made it even better:) Next year for sure!
