Leaving Hawaii was the hardest thing we have ever done as a family, we knew it was right…but we weren’t just leaving a fun place, we were leaving friends & family. That may seem so silly to many people, but when you move to a small town, especially Hawaii & you don’t have any biological family members….you make new family members.
When we moved into our House on Moana Street we made new friends & family, the Hydes. What great people! I learned a lot of from Audrey. I began homeschooling Klai because of her influence, she taught me many things on how to teach different subjects, I learned much about raising chickens, planting gardens & trees, also how to care for many many children. Years and years of being friends, she’s become more like an older sister. Oh the fun things we’ve done! Leaving Hawaii, it really felt like we left family. When they came to visit, we were more than ecstatic to hang out with them. We met them at a fun splash pad park in Highland, nice bike path, playgrounds, lots of grass & endless opportunities for fun!
All the kids met up with their best friends again & it was like we hadn’t even moved & loved playing together once again. Miss Evee & Seamus have been destined for an arranged marriage since they were 2, they even kissed on Naleo’s homemade movie!
Of course the girls became bosom buddies once again; laughing, tickling & giggling!
Then there is Wyatt….always around where the food is! He’s such a silly boy, and we love him so much!

Another thing we love about the Hydes, is they’re love for games. Rykel & Emma jumped on that, Rykel busted out her battleship Pirates of the Carribean!
We were sad to say Goodbye when the time came. They really are like family, they took good care of us in Laie. We hope to move back and be close to them again, if not we’ll have to continue making these 6 month updates visiting each other!
