I heard it through the grapevine!

Oct 15, 2013 | Family Life | 0 comments

Fall is Harvest time and Harvest we did. We harvested any produce we could from anywhere…ok just mostly Grandma’s house. Grandma called when the grapes were ready and we visited Grandma and picked for a couple of hours. I remember growing up and doing this task of picking, de-vining and then helping mom juice. I don’t think I quite understood what went into such a task.

NOW I do!

I was quite fortunate to get another great friend. Jacki is a great cook, she knows about all this stuff and is a great person none the less! She had this awesome juice steamer. SO FUN!
We put in all the grapes, put water in the bottom to boil and wait for a bit and then BOOM juice starts to come.

After filling the jars with juice, I then water bath can them to seal the lids.

So exciting to have ORGANIC, HOMEMADE, DELICIOUS, CONCORD GRAPE JUICE!

Here is the process in a glimpse.
