Local Ice Skating

Feb 11, 2014 | Family Life, Fun & Games | 0 comments

Birthday Weeks continue, with a Frugal Fun activity. I love having a reason to have fun. I found an awesome Groupon for Ice Skating at our local outdoor ice rink. How cool is this!
The Groupon included admission and rental for 6. So I left Evee home with a friend, but brought Cora cause I figured she’d be free. Well we lucked out, the entire rink was empty for most of the time. It was SO FUN!
Cora kept her regular shoes on and just walked on the ice.
Right next to the ice rink was the ice castles. They build these castles using sprinklers & hoses. They spray and let it freeze, spray again & let it freeze more. I hear its pretty awesome inside and if you’re lucky Anna & Elsa from FROZEN are there. Maybe next year we’ll go.
It was quite difficult for the boys at first, but the girls had stronger ankles & did quite good after a while.
Wyatt fell quite a bit, so he put his regular shoes back on & had a blast just running and skidding on the ice.
Shae also fell often, but he kept getting up and trying again and again. So proud of him for pushing through.
Klai caught on fast, but decided to try tricks……that didn’t end well. She had a blast trying.
I’m sure there was lots of bruising going on….on those butts.
Rykel was ruthless, she would fall & get up, fall & get up. What a trooper!
This little munchkin was happy as a clam. She just loved scooting around in her little boots.
What a fun #birthdayweek family fun night!
See I can enjoy the winter…..most of the time.
