YES, this is a crazy title and YES its TRUE!
I have traveled to ALASKA almost 20 times since I was a tiny little 12 year old just like Shae. Everyone would joke that the salmon would pull me into the river, and it actually happened a few times. I gained a LOVE for the state of Alaska due to the freedom I felt there and the amounts of fish I could catch… and stay dry most of the time!
The problem with this is that I have taken my family to Alaska many times and they did not have the time of their lives like I was having but I was too selfish to notice that their buckets were not being filled like mine was. I beg every year for ANOTHER trip to Alaska and the motivation hasn’t been there the past few years because it is old hat to a family that loves traveling, experiencing and discovering new adventures.
Rach and I had trips to Tel Aviv and Istanbul planned this summer and when they got cancelled due to COVID-19 and all of the current travel restrictions, I decided that now was MY TIME!!!
I asked if we could all go to ALASKA together and to see it from a totally different lens!
THEY AGREED!!
I then called CRUISE AMERICA and worked out a way to exchange social media exposure for a 30” long RV!
THEY AGREED!!

This was so exciting! We then went and got our COVID tests and waited for the results… and waited and waited! WE then received them as we walked off the plane towards the Alaskan Health department. nervously we showed them our results, asked to enter the state and…

THEY AGREED!
I wont go over all of the events that we scheduled and ventured through but I will share the MOST EPIC SURPRISE! I scheduled a group of helicopter pilots to fly us up to a mountain top glacier and drop us off at a summer location for a team of Iditarod running alaskan huskies.
