We have done many huge remodels since first moving into our home. In the last year, we have done 6 more big makeovers. It’s time I share the major changes we made. Our house is our homeschool space and TOA workspace so it’s a bit crowded and chaotic at times. The updates we made helped our space be more purposeful with fewer things spilling over into the rest of the house. Mostly we have a place for things better than before.
Entryway & Office
Our office doubles as our podcast studio. This is where Jase and I record our awesome TOA podcasts. We also use the entryway closet for extra storage space for our TOA supplies.
Living Room
This is where we have all our family meetings, the kids do school here as well. It’s open to our kitchen, which provides the perfect setting for hosting guests and having enough room for everyone in the living room and kitchen areas.

Master Bedroom
- Jase moved his workspace from the office to our bedroom sitting area, (the office is just too small)
- We added extra shelves: it holds Jase’s book collection and souvenirs from around the world
- In the master bathroom, we added a spacious walk-in shower and tub, and double sink vanity

Kitchen
We Moved some of the walls around to close off our office and added a cove that has some extra counter space and holds our microwave.
- we made the island a lot bigger to seat our whole family
- add two dishwashers (we definitely needed this one)
- replaced light fixtures and added more lighting
- updated the cabinets to all white and put in a large sink
Guest Room
The guest room is also my sewing room. It’s so nice having a place where my sewing machine can always be set up. We also added shelves on one wall for craft supplies.
Theater
One of our most recent changes to the house was updating our theater. Our new stadium seating seats all eight of us. We added Disney art on the walls and a ceiling added curtains to the entry and framed our screen. Behind the couches, we have musical instruments.
Basement
The second living room is where the kids hang out with their friends, play, video games, watch movies, play arcade games and board games from the game closet.
Little girls room
Evee and Cora recently got a fairy-themed bedroom makeover. If you haven’t seen it make sure to check it out! The love their updated room.
Boys bedroom
Jase built an awesome music space with big speaks and their record player. They are the first kids to ever in our family get a TV in their bedroom!
Rykel’s bedroom
Her love of reading was where we got most of the inspiration for this bedroom makeover. We wanted to create a magical place where she can go to read her favorite books.

We spent a lot of hours cleaning our house for you to have a nice home tour. This picture-perfect view of our home no way depicts a normal day at our house. We usually have lot’s more clutter, toys, and school books scattered throughout the house. I hope you’ve enjoyed this home tour!
